Finals are over + lessons learned

Posted by forlogos on December 20, 2006

-and what a relief!! I spent the last two or three weeks studying and doing school work.  It feels great to finally have a break.

It has been a long 1st term…I’ve learned some very important things this term which I will definitely remember for all my other terms:

– Don’t buy books at the school bookstore – even if it was needed two weeks ago, buy it online anyway

– If you don’t like where you sit in class, you can change seats…they aren’t assigned.  You can also sit at different areas of the room

– Don’t take an unknown professor.  My econ teacher taught for the first time at my school and he had no reviews on RateMyProfessors.com.  Besides being horrible all term long, he even showed up an hour late for the final – leaving us with just an hour and squeezing others that had another final to take in the period afterward.

– Network with classmates more.

– You don’t need perfect attendance.

There might be more, but these are the biggest lessons.  Remember them.
